If you sell desktop computers, notebook computers, printers, keyboards, mice, televisions or associated components in, or into, Saskatchewan you are legally required to be part of a product management program approved by the Saskatchewan Government. SWEEP (Saskatchewan Waste Electronic Equipment Program) is the only approved product management program. SWEEP is a non profit corporation established by manufacturers, retailers, and other stakeholders to collect and recycle waste electronics in a responsible manner. First Sellers can meet their legal obligations by joining the SWEEP program. Click here for the SWEEP membership package. The SWEEP program is funded by an Environmental Handling Fee (EHF) that is remitted to SWEEP on the sale of designated products in or into the province.
